Jazz 3005 series servers are specifically suited for applications that require higher computing power and scalability such as Business Intelligence applications and High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster nodes.

The Jazz 3005 Series consists of three models with up to 4 Montecito dual-core Intel® Itanium®2 processors. This series is designed for Windows® and Linux® environments. The Jazz 3005 Series completes the Jazz 5005 Series of high-end Symmetrical Multi-Processing (SMP) servers by providing powerful entry-level servers.

Reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): The Jazz 3005 Series is based on dual-core Itanium®2 architecture delivering very compact servers thus reducing the TCO. Twenty 2U-servers (each one including up to 4 dual-core processors) can be accommodated in one single rack. Lower power consumption and thermal dissipation improve the performance/watt by 2.5 times compared with Intel® Itanium®2 Madison processors. This leads to reduction in TCO.

High Reliability & Availability: The Jazz 3005 Series delivers twice the performance. The chipset supports 533/667MHz clock frequency Front Side Bus (FSB) and DDR2 memory to improve I/O performance. The Intel® Itanium®2 architecture of Basis Bay Jazz Series servers are built on the Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing (EPIC) technology designed for complex business critical and technical applications.

Excellent price/performance ration: All Jazz 3005 Series processors and memory paths have error correction code logic. In addition, the Jazz 3005 Series features memory RAS functionalities such as chipkill and mirroring to enhance reliability. Redundant power supply units and fans are installed to provide high availability.

Easy and effective management: Basis Bay Jazz Series servers are managed by Bull Master, the software management suite developed by Bull to ensure ease of operation and reduce management costs of IT infrastructures.
