Hosting Services

Every organisation is focusing on cost reductions wherever feasible. From IT perspective, to ease their IT operational & infrastructure costs, organisations can host their IT environment from any of our designated Data Centres, situated in strategic locations. Our Data Centres are equipped with the required Enterprise hardware and related IT infrastructure that can meet an organisation’s requirements and budget. With an in-house dedicated team, Basis Bay provides a 24 by 7 monitoring of all related IT infrastructure with the option of using local or international telecommunication bandwidth carrier of choice.

Co-location Services

At our Data Centres, we, Basis Bay, give flexibility to an organisation to rent DC space that is based either on floor or rack space, to house its dedicated Enterprise hardware. Organisations may provide its own hardware and operating systems and place them in the Data Centres. Co-location provides an organisation with the flexibility to manage, maintain and secure its hardware, operating systems and applications of choice, whilst offering space, monitoring and redundancy solutions.

Disaster Recovery Services

An organisation’s mission-critical IT functions are recovered within a stipulated time period from one of Basis Bay's many Data Centres. Our in-house operation and technical team will support and manage your recovery plan. Our disaster recovery services include:

  • Hot Site:A hot site is a duplicate of the original site of the organization, with full computer systems as well as near-complete backups of user data. Real time synchronization between the two sites may be used to completely mirror the data environment of the original site using wide area network links and specialized software. Following a disruption to the original site, the hot site exists so that the organization can relocate with minimal losses to normal operations
  • Cold Site: An empty site or space whereby customers will provide their own hardware with Basis Bay offering Data Centre space and related facilities. Cold site is the most inexpensive type of backup site for an organization to operate. It does not include backed up copies of data and information from the original location of the organization, nor does it include hardware already set up. The lack of hardware contributes to the minimal startup costs of the cold site, but requires additional time following the disaster to have the operation running at a capacity close to that prior to the disaster.
  • Dedicated Hot & Cold Sites: Customised according to an organisation’s IT recovery strategy and environment.
